Verdant Works, Dundee

Acquisition for preservation of former jute and linen mill in Dundee. The Verdant Works were built in 1833 to spin flax, but took up the new fibre, jute, in the 1840s. The building had not changed radically since the 1870s and the office, managers' house and storehouse remain much as they did in the 1890s.
