Acquisition of Boar's Head Tureen

Acquisition of the Boar's Head tureen, made by The Chelsea Porcelain Factory circa 1755-8. It is one of only three complete examples of arguably the most ambitious and elaborate type of vessel ever made by the company, and is a spectacular example of English rococo tableware. The tureen forms the centrepiece of the historic collection of Cooke-Yarborough.
