Anglo-Saxon Sculptures, St. Paul’s Church, Jarrow

Removal and conservation of Anglo-Saxon architectural fragments which had been incorporated into the Victorian church porch of St Paul's, Jarrow. They were part of an Anglo-Saxon church built on the site and indicate the importance of the original building. The sculptures were continually at risk from rising moisture, but once conserved have been mounted for exhibition.
