Acquisition of the archive of William Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton (1799-1864) a politician and public figure. He could count among his acquaintances several individuals of note, including, Thomas and Jane Carlyle, Sir Walter Scott, Robert Browning, J S Mill, Florence Nightingale and D G Rossetti.
