Acquisition through private treaty sale of terracotta bust by Louis Francois Roubiliac of Sir Andrew Fountaine (1676-1753) circa 1747 (54.5x49cm). Sir Andrew Fountaine of Narfold Hall, Norfolk, was a celebrated virtuoso and amateur architect whose taste was greatly influenced by two grand tours of Europe. As a collector and patron he is of importance at both a national and local level.
