Chamber Organ by England

Acquisition of an 18th century English chamber organ which may have been built by George England. The style of the case dates it to between c 1755-1780. England began building organs in 1750 and the attribution to him is based on the pipe markings and wind-chest note markings. However, the particular interest of this instrument lies in its enharmonic tuning system. This is the only known English organ of the period which has this tuning arrangement.
