Drawing of William Wordsworth by Haydon

Acquisition of pencil portrait of William Wordsworth by Benjamin Robert Haydon, dated 1819. It was a study for Haydon's painting Christ's Entry into Jerusalem on which he began work in 1814. At an early stage Haydon decided to include a number of real people among the onlookers, including three of his own friends, Wordsworth, Hazlitt and Keats.
