Henry Jenkins Astronomical and Musical Pedestal Clock

Acquisition of mahogany-cased, spring-driven astronomical and musical clock. The clock has two dials, the upper consisting of an orrery showing positions of the planets, the lower dial shows hours minutes and seconds and also has a planispheric representation of sky showing the positions of the Earth, Sun, Moon and principal stars. The clock also plays a selection of 12 tunes on 13 bells. Made by Henry Jenkins, London in 1778.
