Middleham Ring

Acquisition of a gold ring of the early 15th century excavated at Middleham Castle. The interior of the ring is engraved with the word 'Sovereynly'. The decoration of the exterior as a series of the letter S is identical to that found in the collar of the SS, the insignia used by the Lancastrian Kings of England.
