Photographic Prints and negatives by Charles Dodgson, alias Lewis Carroll

Acquisition of 14 photographs and negatives by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. The images show daughters of the Liddell family, including Alice, who was Dodgson's inspiration as the fictional girl who became one of the world's most famous heroines of children's literature. As an Oxford mathematics don, Dodgson was also a pioneer photographer. These are the last of his images of the Liddell family to remain in the UK.
