Two Miniatures of Thomas Cromwell by Holbein

Acquisition of two miniatures painted on vellum of Thomas Cromwell (1465?-1540), Henry VIII's Chief Minister during the period of the break with Rome. Attributed to Hans Holbein. They are framed back to back in a gold locket. The first was painted between April 1532 and April 1533, the second in August 1537 when Cromwell received the Garter.
