Tyntesfield Estate

Acquisition of the Tyntesfield Estate in North Somerset. The Grant enabled the purchase of the house, core estate and chattels for public benefit. The estate includes 540 acres of park, woods, gardens and farmland, 6 miles sw of Bristol. It centres on the gothic revival mansion which contains c 40,000 objects. In addition, there are stables, glass houses, gazebos and garden structures in varying stages of dereliction.
